These fellas popped up in the last few days, growing on an old log in the wood pile. I think I've narrowed the identification down to one of the species in the genus Pholiota, but I'm no expert on this stuff, so don't quote me. (More here)
I'll try to get an expert opinion to verify. In the meantime, aren't they just beautiful?

Just got back from a trip to British Columbia at bear's Creek falls and seen what I think looks identical to this mushroom. It was growing under the side of a bank
